Recently, I have been reminded how truly blessed I am to have such incredible, Godly women in my life.
My friend Kaley Rivera is a beautiful singer/songwriter (shameless plug: buy her EP!) who has an amazing gift with words. She always encourages me by speaking the truth and even her emails bring a smile to my face.
Leslie is someone I met while at Operation Christmas Child and she has such a tender heart. She is always seeking the Lord’s will, even when it is difficult or unclear what the future holds for her – she takes the risk. I admire her for that.
My roommate, Riley, is someone who has been inspiring me for years now. She is passionate and big-hearted. Riley constantly challenges me to be a better person.
Stephanie knows herself so well and she always strives to better herself. She is a wonderful listener and someone who reminds me to seek what the Lord calls us to do as Christians – love.
I have many other friends here in Charlotte and beyond that I am thankful for. I am truly blessed to have these ladies in my life to help me grow in my faith, to challenge me, better me and have fun with. As I continue to walk in my faith journey and deepen my relationship with Christ, I am reminded how important is to invest into people and pour into them. Jesus cared deeply for his disciples and spent time serving, teaching and loving them. I know this little blog post doesn’t do much and these specific ladies may never see it, but I hope they know how much I love them.
I challenge you to write a note of encouragement to a friend, and to spend time praying for your friends.
